What is Humanly Cloud?
Humanly Cloud is a writing platform for people who need to explain how a document was produced. Writers draft in a configured workspace; Humanly records writing activity and in-platform AI assistance, then makes the recorded process available for review through a writing certificate. The product website is cloud.writehumanly.net, and the Cloud application provides the writing and task workflows.
The useful question is “What happened in this writing session under these rules?” A Humanly certificate provides evidence for that question. It does not certify that every idea originated with the named writer or that no outside assistance occurred.
Who is Humanly Cloud for?
- Writers and students can record the development of a personal document or complete a task assigned by another person.
- Teachers and task owners can set writing instructions and controls, distribute a task, and inspect submissions alongside their recorded process.
- Researchers can use a configured writing task to study interactions within the workspace, with appropriate participant permissions.
- Reviewers and review organizers can use the writing workflow for review text, subject to the venue's confidentiality and AI rules.
The person configuring a task and the person writing it may be different people. For a personal document, the writer also chooses the writing setup. A public certificate reader is a separate role: access to a shared certificate does not grant access to the writer's entire account.
How does the workflow work?
- Open the Cloud application and choose personal writing or the assigned task supplied by its owner.
- Review the instructions and writing setup before drafting. Depending on the task, the setup can include resources, copy-and-paste rules, a writing timer, submission limits, and permitted AI access.
- Write inside the workspace. Use the available resources and AI assistance within the task's rules. Recorded activity and source attribution describe what the workspace observes.
- For assigned work, submit the task. For personal writing, generate a certificate when the relevant writing is complete.
- Inspect the certificate and decide what to share. A reader interprets the writing evidence together with the task's rules, the text, and any context supplied by the writer.
For example, a student can draft an essay in a task that permits AI polishing. The teacher can review the final essay and its process evidence against that permission. The mere presence of AI-assisted text would not establish a policy violation in that task.
What can a certificate contain?
A certificate brings together the document's recorded source composition, writing activity, environment settings and configured behavior analysis. Replay and full text depend on the certificate's sharing options. Final-text composition and total input volume answer different questions: text entered and later deleted can affect the process totals without remaining in the final document. What are the boundaries?
Humanly records activity within its supported workspace. It cannot reconstruct a missing history for a finished document written elsewhere. A typed passage could be original writing or a transcription of material from another source. External AI use and activity on another device may leave no identifiable record in Humanly.
